Thank you for your interest in Fly High: Story of the Disc Dog. If you’ve reached this site that means something has sparked your interest in the sport of canine disc. Here you will find further information about the film and how you and the canine disc community can help make this film happen.

Production Beginnings

Pre-production planning began in late 2012 as the canine disc season came to a close. Moving into the early months of 2013, pre-production outlines were finalized and marketing development began. Additional information about the current production status can be found on the blog page.

What its all about

The vision for this film is to explore the origins of canine disc and the bond between canine and handler. In this film, I will visit with many of the sport’s originators, chronicling their stories and recounting the events of 1974 that started a new pastime for man’s best friend and the rise of such a sport.

What its not about

Despite my appearance in the initial marketing materials, Fly High is not about me or my canines. We are a microscopic part of this amazing community. While we share our story in this film, that is not the heart of the film. I am merely the journalist bringing renewed light to the history of the sport.
